Questions

What MSP owners ask before the first call

Starting prices, month-to-month terms, who employs the person, which client environments a remote tech can touch, and what happens if the fit is wrong.

What does Dokimo do?

Dokimo is a staffing firm for MSPs and MSSPs. We place dedicated staff from the Philippines and Mexico on your service desk, NOC, security, engineering, billing, and sales seats. Each one is tested on the real work before you meet them, works your queue in your tools, and is employed in their own country through our employer of record (EOR) partner, so you get one monthly invoice from Dokimo.

What seats do you fill for an MSP?

Technical seats: service desk techs from Tier 1 to Tier 3, NOC technicians, SOC analysts, security engineers, systems, network and cloud engineers, and project managers for client onboarding. Other seats: dispatch and service coordinators, PSA administrators, billing and reconciliation specialists, and sales development and marketing seats. Every seat is remote, so deskside visits, racking and anything else that needs hands on site stay with your own staff.

Do you only work with MSPs?

Dokimo is built for MSPs and MSSPs, and this site is written for them, but we also fill the same kinds of seats for other US companies: service desk and IT, security, admin and back office, finance operations, and sales development. The testing is the same for every client.

Do you work with MSSPs?

Yes, we place SOC analysts, security engineers, vulnerability management analysts, and GRC analysts for MSSPs and for the security side of an MSP. Every seat is remote and works in your security tools.

Do you fill non-technical seats for MSPs?

Yes, because MSPs need more than techs. We place dispatch and service coordinators, PSA administrators, client onboarding coordinators, recurring billing and reconciliation specialists, and sales development and marketing seats. Finance seats prepare the work and your people approve it: no seat initiates or releases a payment, holds a bank credential, or is an authorized voice for changing payment instructions.

What does a Dokimo seat cost each month?

Seats in the Philippines run from $1,500 a month. Seats in Mexico run from $2,050 a month. Those are starting prices. The role and the level change the price, and the pricing calculator shows the price for each role and level. You provide the tool licenses the seat needs.

What does the monthly price include, and what is extra?

The monthly price covers the person's pay and the employer costs local law requires, including year-end pay. It also covers their employment through our employer of record (EOR) partner, finding and testing candidates, onboarding and offboarding, the 90-day replacement guarantee, and one monthly invoice from Dokimo. Two things sit outside the price: the tool licenses the seat needs, which you provide, and the optional Productivity and Security Suite, which is an extra $399 a month per person.

Are software licenses included in the price?

Licenses aren't in the price. The person in the seat works your queue in your tools, the same way a tech on your team does, so you provide the licenses the seat needs: your PSA, RMM, Microsoft 365, documentation platform, and anything else. The monthly price covers the person's pay and the employer costs local law requires, their employment through our EOR partner, finding and testing candidates, and one invoice.

Is there a long-term contract, and who employs the person?

Month to month, with no long-term contract. You pay Dokimo one monthly invoice. On our core model, staff augmentation, the person is employed in their own country through our employer of record (EOR) partner, under local employment law, and paid through local payroll there. They work as part of your team and to your priorities, and the employment obligations in their country sit with the EOR partner. Direct placement is the exception, and a narrow one: for Tier 3 technical roles and technical management seats we will run the search and let you hire the person directly instead. Ask us for direct placement terms. We do not offer it for Tier 1, junior, administrative, finance and accounting, or sales and marketing seats.

What happens if a placement does not work out?

If a hire isn't working out in the first 90 days, we find a replacement at no extra cost. We won't put a number on how long a replacement takes, because it depends on the role.

How fast can you present candidates?

Slower than a firm that forwards you resumes, and that's deliberate. We won't quote a time to shortlist, because it depends on the role and the level.

How does Dokimo vet candidates?

Every candidate is tested on the real work before you meet them, and you only meet the people who pass.

Who decides which client environments a remote tech can touch?

That's your decision, set by your own agreements. Some clients have contracts, cyber insurance, or compliance requirements that limit who can touch their environment, and some require US-only access. Environments with export-controlled defense data and criminal justice systems are effectively closed to anyone outside the US, and Dokimo won't place anyone on them. For every other client, Dokimo doesn't decide that for you. We match each seat to the clients you've cleared, and your US team keeps the rest. Nothing on this site is legal advice. Your agreements and your counsel are the source of truth.

Can you cover after-hours and overnight?

Yes, as a rotation. One person can't cover nights and weekends alone, so it takes several seats working agreed shifts. Each person works the hours you agree with us, whether that's your US business hours, early mornings or overnight, and coverage runs to those hours only.

Where do Dokimo candidates come from?

Dokimo recruits in the Philippines and in Mexico, and neither the Philippines nor central Mexico changes its clocks. The Philippines sits 12 hours ahead of US Eastern while the US is on daylight time and 13 hours ahead from November to March, so a Philippine workday falls in the US evening and overnight. Central Mexico runs one hour behind Eastern in winter and two in summer, so a Mexico City workday lines up with most of the US business day. The hours a seat needs decide the country.

How do I know the person is actually working, and that my clients' data is safe?

Your own tools already answer part of this. PSA time entries, ticket notes, SLA reports and remote-session logs show whether the work is getting done. The optional Productivity and Security Suite puts the person in a secure, US-hosted Microsoft Azure environment. It doesn't change where the person sits, so it doesn't make a US-only client eligible. The suite includes productivity monitoring, which shows whether the person is working at their station through the day, and you read the reports in our client portal. The person is told about it, and it's written into their agreement. It also includes security for the digital workstation and onboarding to it. It costs $399 a month per person on top of the seat.

What is the Productivity and Security Suite, and what does it cost?

It is an optional add-on: a secure, US-hosted Microsoft Azure environment the person works inside, with productivity monitoring that shows whether they are working at their station through the day (disclosed to the person and written into their agreement), security and onboarding for the digital workstation, and your reports in our client portal. It costs $399 a month per person, on top of the seat, in either country.

How does security work when the person works overseas?

With the Productivity and Security Suite, the person works inside a secure, US-hosted environment on Microsoft Azure, and we manage security for the digital workstation. The suite doesn't change where the person sits, so it doesn't make a US-only client eligible, and it doesn't hide where your staff work. Your agreements still decide which clients the person may touch.

What does the productivity monitoring show, and does the person know about it?

It shows whether the person is working at their station through the day, and you read the reports in our client portal. The person is told about the monitoring, and it is written into their agreement.

Do I have to buy the Productivity and Security Suite?

No. It is optional. You can add it for every seat, add it for some seats, or run the seat on a device or virtual desktop you already manage.

Where does Dokimo operate?

Dokimo is a US staffing firm, and its legal name is Pacific Cloud IT LLC. It places people with companies across the United States and recruits in the Philippines and Mexico. Everyone it places works remotely, so your location doesn't limit who we can find for you.

Is Dokimo part of a larger group?

Yes, Dokimo is the People practice of Koine Cyber, a group of technology companies.

What does the name Dokimo mean, and how do you say it?

Dokimo (DOH-kee-mo) comes from dokimos, the Koine Greek word for “tested and approved.” It is a description of the job: every person we place is tested before you meet them, and you only meet the people who pass.

Is Dokimo the same company as Pacific Cloud Cyber?

Yes, Dokimo is the new name of Pacific Cloud Cyber. What we do and how we do it did not change. The name and the web address did, and the old address now sends you to this site.
